“The online Disability Awareness Training and support provided by Equo exceeded our expectations in many regards – especially in the depth of information supplied and the access to the instructor for feedback on work in progress.

We have a large volume of volunteers supporting our event who, to take part, must complete online Disability Awareness Training.

Equo managed this whole process excellently within a short time frame and helped make our event a success. As such, we have no hesitation in recommending Equo’s quality service to anyone in the future.”

“Rolling out the training is going well and some drivers have asked to sit the training when not required. Equo disability awareness training has been really positive, resulting in a better understanding and improved results when the knowledge test is taken.”

This is exactly the type of training and testing that we are hoping TfL and other Licensing Authorities will take on board to certify a driver’s fitness to be licensed for Taxi or PHV.

It’s modern, cost-effective and a very efficient way to train and inform drivers without the need to travel or lose a lot of income.

Equo’s online training, testing and certification is in our view ideal to deal with the very necessary requirement to undertake Disability Awareness Training.

We share the view that it should be mandated as suggested by the Law Commission and others nationally.

Child Friendly Matters
“I have just finished the e-learning Disability Awareness training and wanted to feedback how fantastic I thought the course was.

The training is ideally suited to businesses that wish to ensure their staff are able to interact with disabled customers. I learnt a great deal from the course and it made me consider many aspects of dealing with disabled people that I had not considered before.

The format was great and the multiple choice questions at the end of each section really helped to reinforce my learning.

I was also able to complete the training on my phone, which meant I was able to complete sections at a time convenient to me. I would highly recommend this course.”

crawley-bc“Crawley Borough Council has in the past received a few complaints regarding taxi drivers refusing to carry disabled passengers, charging more for wheelchairs etc. so Crawley decided to introduce online Disability Awareness Training and Equo were chosen as they have the most knowledge of disability awareness which was vital in supplying our applicants with the appropriate training.

Since this training was introduced in April 2014 we have had no complaints regarding the drivers who have completed the training.

Equo are very supportive, friendly and knowledgeable in helping to set up the online training and it has been an extremely easy process from beginning to end.

The Equo system is now used on a weekly basis and has saved the Council a lot of time in officer hours as we can now undertake 7 applicants at one time.”
